Unilime foundation set to organize this years community outreach in Wa central.

Unilime Foundation, a non governmental organization (NGO) based on humanitarian activities has set to organized this year’s community outreach in the Wa central.

The NGO, as part of their activities to strengthen their flagship programme which is to enhance vocational , technical and technological (VOCTECH ) training will be train the residents at Wa Central on soft skills like beads making, soap making, leather making, baking and pastries.

Speaking to Miss Regina Okyere Darko the National Coordinator for Unilime Foundation, she said, this years community outreach program scheduled at Wa in the Upper West region, is in collaboration with the MP for Wa central constituency Hon. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo. It’s a three-day packed program from the 6th-8th December 2019 with which 300 to 500 people are expected to benefit from the training program

She Also stated that, Unilime will have a mentorship program with the school for the blind in Wa, which will be the location for both the program and the training for the community youth. Aside that, a donation exercise will take place for the less privileged.

She added that, In September 2019, Unilime enrolled 15 trainees into vocational training at Boso a suburb in the Eastern Region in partnership with Member of Parliament of Asuogyaman Constituency.
Aside the VOCTECH program there are other skills training that is giving to both members of the organisation and the general public.

UNILIME Foundation is a Non-Profit making organization, which is made up of graduates and students from the various universities. And other tertiary institutions in the country. The aim is to impart the lives of the less privileged youth and younger one’s in the society. This is done through educational programs that is centered on mentoring, science and maths quiz and donations of educational materials.
